Simon and his Tardis

Simon is a grizzle male veiltail Siamese Fighting fish (Betta Splenden).

I'm not sure how old he is as I adopted him about a month ago from a friend who rescued him from a local pet shop and he was in a pretty awful state. Simon is a very shy boy, I have never quite had a betta like him. He had fin damage when I bought him which was healing well but then he got unhappy with his neighbour and started to chew his own tail. He now lives on his own in a 7g tank and he is a lot happier.

Although it looks raggedy, the edging to his fins is a lot smoother than it looks as they all end in cellophane so the colour stops before the fin does
